"We have discovered a little piece
of Heaven and have had the privilege to enjoy 10 days at Bruce and
Amy's condo at Makani A Kai. Our experience has been as close to
perfect as it could have possibly been with everything supplied we
needed and great accessibility for Kathy. Not only is the condo
comfortable, it's ideally located on Ma'alaea Bay with easy access
to Sugar Beach and the warm waters of the bay, plus were were able to
share the time with our son and his girlfriend. In 10 minutes
you can drive to Kehei and only 20 minutes to
Lahaina with a great selection of shopping and sight seeing
at either location."
"Condo A-2 is wonderfully
equipped,totally accessible, ideally located, quiet and a great
place to relax with the sound of the surf crashing on the beach, palm
trees rustling in the breeze, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. With
assistance from Gammie Home Health and their beach
wheelchair, Kathy was able to let the waves splash her for the
first time in 30 years and the look on her face made the whole trip
worthwhile.
The staff at Sunshine Helicopters made
one of our dreams come true with a perfect helicopter
trip allowing easy on/off transfers for Kathy and a wonderful
flight to Molokai."

Paradise isn't even Paradise if you are struggling with inaccessibility or difficult access. But then there's condo A-2 at MAKANI-A-KAI with great accessible accommodations, fine detail, and everything to make a vacation perfect. Thanks Bruce & Amy - nice job!

We enjoyed our stay here! Having seen your posts on newmobility.com for years, I am glad we got in touch with you and made the trip. Without a "truly accessible" place to stay, I doubt we would have ever made this trip.

What can we say about Maui that hasn't already been said? This place is as close as one can imagine to heaven itself! God blessed us with so many beautiful sights. The weather, the whales, the rainbows, the sunrises, sunsets, the beautiful views from Haleakala! The condo was PERFECT!! So accessible, and so centrally located to all of the island attractions. You put so much effort into the details! Mahalo! And my hats off to you both.

You are angels in disquise! We had a wonderfully relaxing and
adventurous vacation in Maui, thanks to you two. The thoughtfully
designed and decorated condo was absolutely relaxing with the cool
night breeze, warmth of the sun during the day and the sounds of waves
and rustling palm trees, which were only enhanced by the moonlit
evenings. It was enchanting and spiritual.
This was a beautiful place. It was a great place to spend our honeymoon and it was close to many accessible activities such as Blue Hawaiian Helicopter and UFO Parasailing. Bruce and Amy thought of everything to make the condo (wheelchair) accessible and relaxing.

This was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon. You were right when you said there was too much to see and do in one week. I guess we have to come back. Your hospitality was very much appreciated and everyone we met on Maui was very friendly, especially your friends and neighbors.
We've been treated more as family friends than tourists from LA.

New Zealand - May 2000 We have had a wonderful 29-night holiday of the USA. Last 6 nights to "unwind" on way home - spent here in your condo. Could not have found a better; more peaceful place if we tried. Roll-in shower etc. just perfect for Dave. Maui is certainly a "little bit of heaven on earth" and we have enjoyed every moment. After all the
waiting
and wondering - we finally made it to Maui. It was everything
dreamed
of, wished for and more besides. The condo was everything needed
for accessibility (wish others could be as good) from every point of
view.
Maui was a dream come true - the sunshine, sunsets, surfing,
snorkeling,
feasting, fun times, food and that "fearsome" Hana road (after Africa -
it wasn't THAT bad!). Thank you so much for allowing us to share
your home in paradise - it certainly bucked up my immune system.
